What a let down... I guess fox shouldn't have worried about the movie leaking to the Internet. But I guess that's part of the problem, when the movie leaked they said: "Oh, it's just a crappy version without all the FX", well, if the story on the damn movie was any good they'd say: "Oh my god! Everyone will know the story beforehand!". I guess they don't give a damn about the script anymore.
Visually it's still an amazing movie. But, c'mon, Deadpool has optic blasts?! And katana claws? WTF?!?
And where's the consistency? In this movie all the scenes have nothing to do with what was shown previouly in the other movies... Sabretooth is totally different from x-men I, no winter weapon X scenes, no "wild, mindless" Wolverine... And they're probably saving some scenes for the director's cut version, which doesn't mean there'll be any improvement to the story, probably just more action sequences... It's kind of insulting to the audience.
One other thing that bothered me in the whole affair was how Wolverine had many chances to kill Sabretooth and didn't, not only in the *girly voice* "you're not an animal" *girly voice* scene. I mean, his claws cut through helicopters, cars, 20 cm thick steel doors and sabretooth was not cut to shreds? He was stabbed by wolverine's claws and they got stuck in him? C'mon, if the damn guy at least dodged the claws it'd been better.
X-men movies are getting worse, one after another, X-Men III was bad, this one is bad, pretty soon they'll start changing directors for each new movie and it'll be Batman III and IV all over again. I can just imagine Jim Carrey as "Arcade" fighting the x-men in a giant amusement park full of neons and with no story behind the stuff.
Anyways, I'd have watched the movie even if someone told me all of this, even if it was just for the show. That's why they get away with crappy scripts like this one... Go watch, and then bitch about it like me, what else can we do?
